what is love?

Love.
It is a word that cost us much.
What does it mean to love?

The bible mentions the word love 494 times, so as followers we ought to know what love really means right?
Corinthians 13:13 says "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

Regardless of age, gender and all other properties, if you realised, we have always been searching for love. Love from our parents, love from our friends, and love, from those of whom we love. With the little we know about love, we want to give our love to others, and hopefully receive love back. But more often than not, the love is not reciprocated, and we die on the inside, as we run dry of the love that we originally had. Perhaps, that is why sometimes we find it so hard to love someone who is different/has done something against us.

But God has called us to FIRST love Him, because He is the source of everlasting love. From Him, we receive the love of which we can then LOVE and give others. The sequence must be taken seriously or the consequences are dire.

So God has already know, that we are not sources of love, but agents of love. And hence, all the more, we need Him, lest we are made unworthy to love.

The lesson?

We cannot and should not be giving to others what we do not have.

Likewise, if we do not get love, we can't give. Love has to first overflow in our lives, before we have enough to give.

christmas rehearsal day 1

Today is the first day of Christmas rehearsals for Expo team. So anyway, it was rather late but really fun! Haha, adrian, bernard, willy and eugene are like uber funny! Haha, I really love this ministry a lot. And even though my role for Christmas isn't that significant, but I thank God for the chance and I will still take my role seriously! :)

Haha, rehearsals ended rather early today. Jeslyn was nice to me today, so was adrian. Hahah, Karen sent me and weiyan home! Hahah, okay, not exactly, she dropped me off at boon lay, while she sent weiyan to her house. Haha, it's okay, that was really nice of her already! If not I will probably reach home about 12.

Anyway, building fund is here again. Time to save up to build God's house! :)

So anyway, the results came back today. Here's how I scored:

Well, my results are not exactly brilliant but I think I have improved much from common test. And also, these results are much much better than what I expected myself to do. So yea, we must learn to be thankful and contented, but of course I want to perform better the next time. I will work hard during this holidays to catch up with my work!

After result-taking, I went to watch Lust Caution with Yuntian. It pretty gross with some disgusting scenes, and the ending was rather abrupt. Nonetheless, on the whole, I think it's a pretty good film. :)

My dearest xiao lee and me! Haha, I just love her so much. I guess friends do not have to spend all the time in this world together, but knowing in your thoughts that there's always someone to turn to. :)

I am having a flu. SNORT. I don't enjoy being unwell.

So anyway, I have completely no idea what facebook is about! At least I don't think it's fun or interesting. Neither is friendster. Haha, it's just not my kind of stuff.

Kelvin called to ask me if I will be free for Christmas. Haha, I hope to get a role. But even if I don't, helping out would be really fun too! I guess it's just all about serving God and being happy about doing so. :)

Hah, I want to watch the Pillowman by SRT! Anyway, I've gotta go to school tomorrow. Papers-returning- day. URGH.
